Before summer turns into harvest season, we’re heading back to Puglia, to a creatively restored 19th-century palazzo set among olive groves in the heel of the boot of Italy.
A time of year that invites us, much like nature itself, to slowly gather ourselves back inwards after months of outward energy and movement. To hold on a little longer to the aliveness of summer, long dinners and la dolce vita, while beginning to make space again for restoration, grounding and self-preservation before winter nears.
The villa renovations only finished last year. Historic features have been carefully brought back to life, much of it done by hand, and layered with contemporary artworks, modern comfort, warm light and incredible outdoor spaces for us to do our magic. At times, it feels almost like staying inside a gallery or small museum, while still remaining a warm and personal home.
Our days begin in silence, with a caffè or tè, some fruit, and eventually gathering for a dynamic movement practice. Afterwards, we come together for a generous breakfast spread prepared with local, seasonal ingredients.

The afternoons remain intentionally spacious: hours by the iconic pool, reading beneath the olive trees, wandering through the gardens, a cooking workshop, or a beach visit just a short drive away. Later in the day, we gather again for slower evening practices, restorative movement and breathwork to balance the more active mornings and help settle the nervous system.
As always, the dinners will form a central part of the retreat rhythm: al fresco long tables with beautiful food prepared by our chef-in-residence and good friend Julia Heifer, bringing together the simplicity and depth of Puglian cuisine.
As we wrap up the eleventh summer of she she, this retreat also feels like a little step outside our comfort zone: a place with a little more contrast, character and artistic expression than perhaps our usual settings, while still holding everything we care about most — history, warmth, beauty, nature, exploration and rest. Every ingredient for a meaningful, replenishing journey.
We feel very grateful to be closing the summer season here, and if it calls to you too, we’d love to have you with us.

You can fly into Brindisi or Bari Airport. Brindisi is a bit closer to Villa Colucci, around 40 minutes by car. Bari is another great option and just under an hour away.
From both airports, you can continue by rental car, taxi or train. The closest train station to the villa is Fasano, and if you're arriving by train, we'll pick you up there at 16hrs-ish.
As always, we'll collect everyone's travel plans and see who may be able to team up and share rides to the house. Last May, we organised a large shuttle van from Bari, with almost everyone on board, which was both easy and fun, and came to around €25 per person. We're very happy to organise something similar again. While we can't make any promises just yet, as it will depend on where everyone is arriving, we can assure you that we'll help make the journey as smooth as possible. And promise, this location is well worth the trip.
We do recommend renting a car if you enjoy a bit more flexibility, especially if you'd like to stop for lunch along the way, visit nearby towns, or explore the area before or after the retreat.
On 30 September, you're welcome to arrive from 16:00 onwards and settle into your room or enjoy the surroundings, with the retreat beginning at 17:30, latest 18:00. Check-out on Sunday is at 11:00.
