Founded by Albertine van Iterson in 2015, who curates each retreat – mostly from behind the scenes – collaborating with a collective of women in the well-being field, including movement and meditation teachers, coaches, creatives, and chefs. This co-creation results in a multi-sensory journey – always in awe-inspiring locations in quiet corners of Europe's rural nature.
With a background rooted in creativity, hospitality, movement, and a love for slow travel, Albertine designs retreats from the perspective of a guest. Unlike an often somewhat one-sided teacher-student dynamic, she and the team fosters unique guidance with a warm dynamic among peers in an intimate community setting. Believing in the power of shared vulnerability and shared joy in collective commitment can act as a catalyst in an individual's journey toward holistic well-being.
At she she, we feel that well-being extends beyond 'simply living a healthy lifestyle' and that always cooking at home, lots of sleep, meditating and going to the studio regularly, is simply not doable for most of us. Understanding the daily challenges faced by hardworking women, whether professionally or in motherhood, often even juggling many roles.
The She She Collective designs well-being experiences that go beyond just a program with two long classes and food. We include hands-on workshops, nature explorations, and rituals. We also understand the need to slow down, disconnect, and self-reflect. This inclusive approach allows guests to actively participate using their hands and minds, while also providing moments of peace and solitude. Our approach offers guidance that is adaptable and implementable in life after the retreat.
Taking a contemporary approach to well-being, our retreats don’t follow a strict schedule. Instead, we create an open-minded place where you can truly unwind and partake in a meaningful retreat experience alongside like-minded women. What we eat and how we eat is a reflection of the relationship we form with ourselves, our community and our environment. Expect a dynamic vegetarian menu, combining local and seasonal ingredients with the taste of the Mediterranean.
In the morning we practise silence, where we do not speak and recommend avoiding screens or even reading a book. Just awaken, just be. Embrace these sacred, often so seldom, moments of peace.
During our morning practices, we gather energy through dynamic and restorative movement sessions, some more guided, some more intuitive. Practices such as meditation and breath-work will further support both mind and body, and help you to unwind.
