What I look forward to most about sharing my experience with the guests:
Yoga has been one of the biggest constants in my life. I owe so much of the beauty and joy I find in life to my yoga practice. I most look forward to sharing these transformational tools with the retreaters.
Well-being for women to me is:
Living in harmony with yourself and the world around you. For me that happens through rituals and routines that embrace creativity, mindfulness and movement. Tools that amplify our sense of self so we can live authentically and find deeper connections in community.
A woman that lately inspired me is:
Women are amazing and I am inspired by so many every day. I am regularly inspired by my teacher, Chloe Kernaghan. On the mat she reminds me why my practice is scared, off the mat I see her as radiant, nurturing and intelligent. I love reading her substack, Move With. She has a poetic, articulate way of weaving ancient wisdom with modern life that always lands.
I am proud of my latest:
Chapter! I am grateful for my career, community and outlook on life. I’ve had a transformational year which deserves recognition and celebration.
When self-doubt creeps up, I try to:
Look at the root cause of the doubt. Am I comparing myself to someone else? Am I in a spiral of negative thinking? Self-doubt is an energy drain. I like to redirect my energy toward something productive and positive. I’ll ask myself what goal am I currently working on? Can I make a bullet point list of next steps toward achieving that goal? Completing goals is the biggest confidence boost that builds self-trust. Building self-trust outweighs the doubt.
To cultivate more joy in my life, I do:
I simplify my life. I make time for the people and projects that light me up and set boundaries around the ones that don’t. I surround myself with things I love – design, flowers, good music, a well-organized home. I express myself creatively through movement and artistic pursuits. I spend time in nature and appreciate the beauty of the mundane. I prioritize rest and routine. I nurture my finances, career, and goals. I think of joy as the product of a well-balanced lifestyle. When the conditions are set, it’s a recipe for joy.
A book, podcast, movie, exhibition I recently went to/saw/listened to that I recommend:
Julia Cameron’s The Artist's Way. I first read this book years ago after my teacher Alex recommended it and recently returned to it. It’s a workbook that offers tools to get in touch with your creative self while aligning your life with what matters most to you. Potent!
